The conference will highlight innovative ways in which researchers, clinicians, and hospital administrators around the world are using PROMIS® measures to bring the patient’s voice to the forefront of care and ultimately to improve health outcomes. To increase opportunities for participation in the virtual conference, the following deadlines have been extended: “While we will not be able to gather in person, we will still be able to share our progress in developing and using PROMIS. We plan to host one or two plenary sessions each day at times that most people will be able to attend,” says Felix Fischer, PhD, program co-chair. Other virtual sessions, including oral and poster paper presentations, will be grouped around this schedule, with some sessions rebroadcast to give registrants in different time zones the ability to participate. “The virtual platform will allow for innovation and flexibility,” adds Michelle Langer, PhD, program co-chair, “and we intend to utilize technology to encourage networking and interaction during the sessions.” Conference registrants will also have access to recorded program content after the conference.
