CTS alumna Katharine Cheung, M.D., Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Medicine -Nephrology, was named the UVM Faculty Practice Junior Researcher of the Year this week. The citation noted her research on cognitive impairment in renal disease with a clinical focus on older adults with advanced kidney disease. She has been awarded 3 pilot grants and a career development award from the National Palliative Care Research Center for her work in geriatrics/palliative nephrology, selected as a junior faculty project director for the COBRE on Cardiovascular and Brain Health, and has published 8 peer-reviewed papers.
