Subject: Invitation to Submit an Abstract for NBH Forum 2021

Dear Neuroscience, Behavior and Health Community,

We are excited to invite you to register and submit an abstract for the upcoming virtual 2021 Neuroscience, Behavior and Health Forum (NBH)!

The keynote speaker will present on Friday, January 22nd at 4:30PM. We are thrilled to have Diane Lipscombe as our keynote speaker. She continues to make remarkable contributions to our understanding of gene splicing regulation, synaptic plasticity and how that machinery impacts various neurological disorders.  Moreover, she is a former Society for Neuroscience president and dedicated to promoting science in the community and the next generation of scientists (https://vivo.brown.edu/display/dlipscom).

The meeting will then reconvene on Saturday, January 23rd in the morning and early afternoon for virtual presentations of various kinds. A highlight this year will be a section for "data blitz" format short presentations with exciting prizes in multiple categories. Trainees are encouraged to submit for this data blitz category and will be the focus of these presentations. We are excited to celebrate the fantastic work done by trainees across the region!

The abstract submission portal is now open (NBH Forum Registration 2021 (cognitoforms.com)). Please note that while the VT SfN membership and dues are welcome, they are not required for registration and participation in the NBH forum. While a quick timeline, we invite you to submit your abstracts by January 15th.

In case we have missed anyone, please feel free to pass along this message. We wish you all the best and are looking forward to a great NBH Forum 2021!

James
