Opportunities to learn about MEPS

 

AHRQ has announced a MEPS Webinar: Overview of Two MEPS Components- Insurance Component (IC) and Household Component (HC) on October 21, 2021

This webinar will cover overview of two MEPS components - MEPS Insurance Component and MEPS Household Component. The Overview of MEPS-IC will provide detailed information on the background, sample, data collection changes during the 2020 pandemic, and obtaining estimates in the Insurance Component. The Overview of MEPS-HC will provide information on MEPS-HC background, sample, data collection, content, and recent changes. Both overviews will demonstrate how to generate estimates using MEPS customizable query tools. A Q&A is scheduled at the end of each presentation.

The webinar is offered free of charge.

 

AHRQ has announced a MEPS Hands-on Workshop: Programming and Analyzing MEPS Data using STATA/R/SAS on October 25, 2021

 The focus of this workshop is to provide hands-on experience to researchers in programming and analyzing Medical Expenditure Panel Survey-Household Component (MEPS-HC) data, using different programming languages. There will be three separate sessions (STATA/R/SAS) in which exercises will be demonstrated to teach how to use MEPS data for research. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions related to their individual research.

All are welcome to attend, but this hands-on workshop is best suited for those researchers who are somewhat familiar with MEPS and may already be working on some research using MEPS data.

The workshop is offered free of charge.
