[Fwd: AHRQ Releases 2007 Hospital Emergency Department Data in NEDS database]


 

 
AHRQ has released its 2007 Nationwide Emergency Department Sample (NEDS)—the most powerful, all-payer emergency department database in the United States developed from data from over 120 million emergency department (ED) visits at more than 1,000 community hospitals. NEDS can be used be study a range of issues, including the cost of emergency care, medical treatment effectiveness, and the quality of, access to, and use of emergency department care.  For more information about the 2007 NEDS, including technical requirements, support, and how to acquire the database, go to http://www.hcup-us.ahrq.gov/nedsoverview.jsp#used.
